چکیده
The timing performance of silicon sensors bump-bonded to Timepix3 ASICs is investigated, prior and after different types irradiation up $8 \times 10^{15} 1 \mathrm{\,Me\kern -0.1em V} \mathrm{ \,n_{eq}} {\mathrm{ \,cm}}^{-2}$. have been tested with a beam charged particles in two configurations, perpendicular almost parallel the incident beam. second approach, known as grazing angles method, shown be powerful method investigate not only charge collection, but also time-to-threshold properties function depth at which charges are liberated.

Hardware compilation, configurable platforms and ASICs for self-validating sensors
We describe the use of hardware compilation techniques to provide a exible interfacing and computing platform for building self-validating (SEVA) sensors. SEVA technology has been developed at Ox-ford as a generic method of supplying a real-time guarantee on the quality of a physical measurement as well as the measurement itself. We describe the reconngurable hardware platforms that have been c...
متن کاملProduction and characterisation of SLID interconnected n-in-p pixel modules with 75μm thin silicon sensors
The performance of pixel modules built from 75 μm thin silicon sensors and ATLAS read-out chips employing the Solid Liquid InterDiffusion (SLID) interconnection technology is presented. This technology, developed by the Fraunhofer EMFT, is a possible alternative to the standard bump-bonding. It allows for stacking of different interconnected chip and sensor layers without destroying the already...
متن کاملPhotonic Crystal Sensors Based on Porous Silicon
Porous silicon has been established as an excellent sensing platform for the optical detection of hazardous chemicals and biomolecular interactions such as DNA hybridization, antigen/antibody binding, and enzymatic reactions. Its porous nature provides a high surface area within a small volume, which can be easily controlled by changing the pore sizes. As the porosity and consequently the refra...
متن کاملMultiparametric Porous Silicon Sensors
We investigated the possibility of using several sensing parameters from porous silicon in order to improve gas selectivity. By fabricating porous silicon optical microcavities, three independent quantities can be measured, i.e. the electrical conductance, the photoluminescence intensity, and the wavelength of the optical resonance. We monitored the change of these three parameters as a functio...
متن کاملCharacterisation of rollator use using inertial sensors
The use of walking aids is prevalent among older people and people with mobility impairment. Rollators are designed to support outdoor mobility and require the user to negotiate curbs and slopes in the urban environment. Despite the prevalence of rollators, analysis of their use outside of controlled environments has received relatively little attention. This Letter reports on an initial study ...
